I must say I have been a Will Smith fanboy for quite some time, and to be totally honest although he sports an amazingly shredded and jacked up physique, it is his determination and relentless attitude for success that really draws me to him as an actor.
You see Will has 1 belief in life, and that is “I Can Do It.” You see from the time Will was young his Dad instilled into him to always look for the patterns in life, and use them to work in your favor. This is what has enabled Will to win a Grammy at age 21 and star in countless huge box office hit movies like Independence day, Ali, The Pursuit Of Happiness, and I am Legend.
His intense work ethic and dedication speaks loudly as soon as you look at Will’s physique, I mean he is sporting sub 10% bodyfat levels year round. Your Probably wondering how exactly does he do this? What is his Secret? To quote Will Smith himself “I consider myself to be of basically average talent, right? What I have that other people do not have is a sick, obsessive, raw animal drive.”

In getting ready for his role in I Am Legend Will Smith had to drop twenty pounds for the film. He went from about 210 to 190 pounds. Wills body type is whats known as Ectomorph and during an interview, he said that, “I have a much easier time losing weight than putting weight on.”

To obtain a phsique like Will’s, it takes him running 5 miles 6 days a weeks, as well as resistence train 3 to 4 times a week. As you saw in the movie I Am Legend, Will is no stranger to bodyweight Calistenics. In the scene in the clip below he is seen effortlessly cranking out pull ups as if he was just walking across the street.
